Growing up in a Caribbean household, my mom would make Barbadian sweet bread and bake pound cake weekly and my dad would have our home scented with Jamaican black cake at Christmas time. A few words come to mind when I think about those moments: sweet aromas, happiness, and abundance.

The pandemic afforded me the time to reflect on what I truly love. I remembered the joy it brought me to bake for my family and friends and in turn, to see how happy it made them and wanted to share that with more people. After many recipe trials and multiple taste tests, I was ready to pair my love for baked goods with my appreciation for art. 

Cocoa Cammy was created with the intention of encouraging people to pause for a moment to celebrate or to bask in the victorious moments they have experienced. The goal is to celebrate special moments, accomplishments, big wins, and small ones too.

If you are like me, you know that no celebration is complete without dessert. Each of these desserts represent a combination of my artistic outlet and a way to connect people through their taste buds. My aim is to make your every bite a moment of pure indulgence.
